To be eligible for the PMIS 2026, you must meet these requirements:
- Age: 18 to 25 years.
- Education: Must have passed 10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma, or hold a Graduation degree (BA, BSc, BCom, B.Tech, etc.).
- Income: Family income must be less than ₹12 lakh per year.
- Exclusions: Candidates currently in full-time employment or those with family members in government service are ineligible.
Expanded Eligibility: Final-year UG and PG students can now officially apply.
Duration: Internships are available for 6, 9, or 12 months.

- Register on MY Bharat: Visit mybharat.gov.in and complete your profile to 100%.
- Access PMIS Portal: Once registered, look for the “Internships” tab which will redirect you to the official PM Internship Portal pminternship.mca.gov.in.
- Aadhaar e-KYC: Complete your KYC via DigiLocker. This is mandatory for receiving the stipend via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).
- Choose Preferences: You can select up to 5 internship opportunities based on your location and sector preference.
